I'm a couple of steps ahead of you on this path, and a wise friend told me when I turned 50, "It's quite sobering for a man to look at his life and realize it is fully one-third over."
As we edge toward maturity (I know I haven't made it yet, have you?), for some reason I'm reminded of a line we used way-back-when for Six Flags Mall: "Remember the Alamo! Remember where you parked your car!"
